I participated in an Ambassador program on behalf of Influence Central for the MetLife TRICARE Dental Program. I received a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
For example, I've already started scheduling my yearly checkups at the doctor and dentist, and I went to the eye doctor last week to get that checkup taken care of. I got a hair trim, a new job (Okay, so that wasn't exactly part of my resolution, but it sure does make me feel happy and fulfilled!), and I will be going to a support group at my church starting next week. All of these things contribute to overall wellness and health. And I've found that if you don't start thinking of these things right away at the start of the year, it's easy to put them off for another year... and then two years... and pretty soon you may find that your health is in decline, your sense of well-being is diminished, or that those minor tooth pains develop into the need for a root canal.
MetLife strives to help families get and stay healthy with programs like the MetLife TRICARE Dental Program which is part of the TRICARE Health Plan for military families. This program is flexible and convenient so that families can have continuous coverage worldwide no matter where they move or what changes in status occur during the year. It is also cost-effective with low monthly premiums and a cost share for a variety of dental procedures. It covers two dental cleanings and exams per year, plus a third cleaning for pregnant women. Not to mention great coverage on things like fillings, procedures, and other dental services.
It's important to note that military families must enroll in the TRICARE Dental Program separately from the TRICARE Health Plan in order to obtain dental coverage. And although enrolling is a 12-month commitment, after that 12-month period is complete, enrollment may be continued on a month-to-month basis. So you're not locked in to anything. Visit the MetLife TRICARE Dental Program website for more information and to enroll.
And remember - don't let another year slip by before you make good on those resolutions to stay healthy this year. Make a plan, get your checkups, and be well!
