Liquid Gold Wood Cleaner & Preservative Review

Scott's Liquid Gold is best known for its amazing ability to clean and restore natural wood. It began in the garage of a widowed single mother of three boys. Manufactured in Denver, Colorado, Scott's Liquid Gold is still made with natural organic oils. You may have seen Liquid Gold in your mother's or grandmother's cleaning cabinets (I know I remember seeing it in my mom's cabinet growing up!) But I bet you didn't know what it was for or the versatility Liquid Gold has. Generations of users also know that it's also great for fixing squeaky hinges, shining metal, cleaning porcelain, vinyl and so much more. And it works as well today as it did 60 years ago!

I was excited to try Liquid Gold to see if it held up to its name and to see why past generations have used it religiously for cleaning, dusting, and restoring wood and other materials. I didn't realize until using it just how much wood I had in my house! We have some wood paneling in the hallway that I have never ever thought to polish or dust, and then the whole fireplace mantle is made of wood, along with doors, cabinets, closet doors, shelves, and staircase railings.

I used Liquid Gold Aerosol Wood Cleaner & Preservative on all of this plus more, and had so much fun seeing the "befores" and "afters"! This product literally is liquid gold in a can, and I can't believe I've never used it before! It's definitely my new favorite cleaning product. I not only found that Liquid Gold removed residue and buildup on the wood surfaces, but it also polished and gave the wood a whole new vibrant color as well as practically making all of the nicks and dents in the wood disappear. It was so much fun to use because of the amazing transformations and it was really easy to use - just wipe down the surface with Liquid Gold! It was like renovating the house with just a can of Liquid Gold and a cloth! But my words don't do it justice, so check out all of these before and after photos below.

I also really like the original almond scent versus the lemon scents of most wood products (although lemon scent Liquid Gold is available if you prefer.) Liquid Gold also offers a Wood Wash which safely cleans dirt, grease, grime, fingerprints & smudges from wood, simulated wood, linoleum, painted surfaces, porcelain, vinyl, chrome, brass & fiberglass with no soapy or stick residue or buildup.
