Acoustibuds Review & Giveaway {Holiday Gift Guide} - 11/27 (2 WINNERS)

ACOUSTIBUDS were introduced by Burton Technologies at the 2009 Consumers Electronics Show (CES) and won a design and innovation award. They are an earbud cover that slips onto the earbuds that are included with most iPod, iPhone, mp3 player and smart phones. The 3 most common complaints about those flat faced earbuds are that they sound bad, hurt your ears and won’t stay in. What is great about ACOUSTIBUDS is that they seal in what you are listening to and seal out the outside noise. ACOUSTIBUDS also help the standard iPod earbuds stay in your ears even during a workout. Lastly, ACOUSTIBUDS allow you to use the standard flat faced earbuds that came with your iPod/mp3 player instead of throwing them in a junk drawer or tossing them in the garbage and going out and spending more money on replacement earbuds.

The proprietary fin geometry prevents the earbuds from falling out of the ear during activity, the soft silicone material conforms to the ear for improved comfort and along with internal cone shaped sound port combine to improve the overall sound quality and sound isolation.

The flexible fins create multiple reflective sound barriers for superior sound isolation while they hold the earphone securely in position. This can help boost bass and conserve sound energy so your MP3 can be played at lower volumes while blocking outside noise. The twin cone core gradually channels the sound wave into the ear. By eliminating abrupt changes in area and direction along the path of the sound wave, improved high fidelity is achieved with enriched middle and upper range frequencies. Not only that, but ACOUSTIBUDS are made of ultra high tear strength, soft hypoallergenic silicone for long lasting durability.

I received both the black and the white ACOUSTIBUDS along with ACSOUSTIGRIP which helps manage the cord and keep it secure to your clothing. It took awhile to get the buds in my ears correctly the first time but right away I turned my iPod way down since the noise was much louder and more clear in my ears. I also found that it blocked out outside noise really well. I went running on a windy day and was unsure of whether these would really stay in my ears, but they passed the test and didn't budge!

I didn't care as much for the ACOUSTIGRIP because while it works fine, it didn't seem to do much for me. But the ACOUSTIBUDS are awesome and a must-have for any iPod owner. I also like that they come in both black and white and in different sizes to customize perfectly to your ear and your style.
