{CLOSED} EconoGreen Plastics Review & {Giveaway #6}

EconoGreen Plastics generously sent me a sample kit of their trash bags (Contractor Clean-up Bags, Lawn & Leaf Bags, Large Trash Bags and Tall Kitchen Bags) to review. Their bags are not only made from recycled plastics, they are also recyclable and oxodegradable. Plus they cost less than comparable environmentally-friendly trash bags, which is great for all you Cheapskates4Life who want to save money while also doing your part for the environment.
The contractor bag holds quite a bit! This isn't even full yet.

What does oxodegradable mean? Basically EconoGreen's trash bags contain a unique agent that helps break down the carbon-carbon bonds in the plastic and reduces the strength of the bag when exposed to oxygen, which eventually degrades them into water, CO2 and a reusable biomass. The process leaves behind no harmful residue or toxins.

I received these bags from EconoGreen Plastics just when I needed them, since I've been working on preparing for a garage sale this week. I ended up filling up an entire contractor bag with junk that I found during the pricing process and trash that accumulated during my quest to find garage sale items. These contractor bags hold a LOT! And if I didn't know anything about them, I would honestly think they were regular contractor bags.

From my experience, EconoGreen bags are just as strong, large, and durable as their regular plastic counterparts. The only difference is that these bags will break down and not seep toxins into the earth, which is really good to know...although I still feel bad about all the stuff I am throwing away along with the bags!! (Note to self: Recycle more!)

My Opinion
Not only are EconoGreen Plastics bags durable and everything you'd expect from trash/contractor/leaf bags, they are good for the environment and cost-effective too. I would recommend these to everyone!

Just became a new follower through Thursday Friends. :-)

I always cringe at the amount of garbage we take to the landfill. It's great to have a bio-degradable option now--it makes me feel a little less guilty!
